Art and Interiors

Deborah Heffley Jones

Born in California and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Jones attended the University of Oregon. During her studies she spent a semester abroad in Siena, Italy, submerging herself in the history of early Renaissance art. After receiving a degree in History, Jones lived in Portland, OR, San Juan Island, WA, and then landed in Telluride, Colorado where she lived for 14 years. Telluride gave Jones the oportunity to put her creativity to work where she started Mosaic, a faux-finish and interior consulting business that concentrated on high-end custom home decor and wall finishes. In the meantime, Jones married Prescott Jones who operated Bluebird Builders, a custom homebuilding company. In 2007, Jones returned to the beauty of the San Juan Islands with her young family. Jones operates DH Jones Design and acts as lead designer for Bluebird Builders, LLC.
Inspired by the nature of her surroundings, Jones has brought her visions of color and design to her venetian plaster artwork.
